007 Star Daniel Craig Gets a Free Aston Martin Anytime He Wants

If you didn't already believe it,

now it's confirmed: all the best swag goes to those who have the money to buy it anyway.

The latest in gift-giving to the rich and famous has Aston Martin benefiting Daniel Craig, the current MI6 agent, 007, who drove a classic Aston Martin DB5 and a new V12-powered DBS in his first Bond film, 'Casino Royale', and a DBS again in the latest 007 installment, 'Quantum of Solace', with the offer to drive any of their cars anytime he wants.

But wait, it gets better. The British company went further by throwing in unlimited track time. So what does the action actor say to that?

“I'm lucky enough that if I desperately want to drive in an Aston Martin, the company is just fantastic to me,” Craig told ContactMusic. “They'll let me go on a track and drive one all day long."

So has Craig contacted MI6 to retrofit an Aston of his own?

“I could drive it faster and more furiously (on the track) than anywhere on the road,” added Craig. “I live in London (and) it doesn't make any sense to drive an Aston Martin there. I've nowhere to park it.”

We know your pain, Mr. Craig, but you've got to wonder what ex-Bond star Pierce Brosnan (according to Craig the person who talked him into trying out for the special agent job in the first place) thinks about this. After all, in his last Bond flick, ‘Die Another Day', he drove an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish. Why isn't Newport Pagnell knocking on his door? And what about BMW?  When he initially took the role for ‘GoldenEye' his first ride was a BMW X3, followed up by a 750iL and R1200 motorcycle in ‘Tomorrow Never Dies', and best of all a Z8 sports car in ‘The World in Not Enough'. Does he get to drive a new M3 on the track anytime he wants?

No doubt, all he'd have to do is ask.
