Review

The Chevy Silverado has been seeing many improvements over the years. This is in part to the competition that is out there as well as the need to push past the competition. The Chevy Silverado has seen many changes however, this years changes will prove to be the most important. Many would agree that these changes have caused it to quickly catch up and almost surpass the greatness of the Ford F-150 in the best-selling full-size truck arena. The 2009 model has to be created with detail and precision in order to keep up with its competition the FordF-150 and the Dodge Ram. This is because both the Ford F-150 and the Dodge Ram were developing a new model with even greater improvements. It is because of this that Chevy borrowed from its previous models of the Silverado and combining its power and strength. The 2009 Chevy Silverado is fueled by its engine options. These options include the 5.3L engine, 6.0L engine and the 6.2L V-8 engine all of which come with a six-speed automatic transmission. The big E85, 6.2L V-8 engine has 403hp. This power most certainly does away with the 5.7L, 381hp provided by the Toyota Tundra. This easily puts the 2009 Chevy Silverado at the top of the list for the full size truck toting the most power. The 2009 Chevy Silverado gives you the option of choosing from three different cab styles and three different cargo box lengths. These lengths vary from 5'8" all the way up to 8 feet.

There is also a vehicle stability enhancement system that Chevy has made standard for all of the Silverado models except for the ones that come with the 4.3L V-6. All regular cabs, except the 4.3L V-6, now come with an integrated trailer brake control. You can also choose from 18' to 20' wheels to match the new colors offered for the 2009 Chevy Silverado. Two of the newer additions to the color palette are Black Granite Metallic and Imperial Blue Metallic. The 2009 Chevy Silverado also gives you the option to get OnStar 8.0 turn-by-turn navigation with Bluetooth connectivity. If you choose this option, you will also be able to get the XM NavTraffic that gives you real time traffic updates, as you need them.

If you choose the 2009 Chevy Silverado with an extended cab or crew cab you will now notice that you have the option of getting a rearview camera system. You don't have to have the navigation system for this feature as you did before. The camera shows up on the rearview mirror. All of the new additions to the 2009 Chevy Silverado were done with the competition in mind. This is definitely one of the goals of Chevy as well as that to satisfy their customers. You will definitely notice additions to the standard package as well as options that are more suited to fit your individual needs. You will be able to customize your 2009 Chevy Silverado so that it is just what you need and not a cookie cutter truck.
