Part of the General Motors auto group, Cadillac is regarded as the luxury brand of all of GM products. Founded in 1902, Cadillac joined the General Motors Corporation in 1909. Soon after, it became the gold standard for luxury automobiles. In addition to luxury, the Cadillac brand quickly became regarded for innovation and technology. Elements such as the steel roof, shatter-resistant glass and the V8 engine were developed and introduced by Cadillac. In fact, in its early years Cadillac made the fastest cars available to consumers.

Cadillac’s models were so popular and highly regarded, that even today they evoke a feeling of luxury and refinement. Consumers can still remember models such as the Eldorado, Seville, De Ville, and the Sixty Special. But today, consumers flock to models like the much-heralded CTS sedan and the Escalade sport utility vehicle. The manufacturer also creates models specifically for other nations or regions of the world; for example, the BLS is offered in Europe, Asia, Mexico, the Middle East and South Africa only.
