DaimlerChryslers Nationwide Party Set Tone of Automakers Brave New Face
New 2005 Chrysler 300 Was Star Vehicle in Chrysler Groups Nationwide Premier Night
DaimlerChryslers Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep divisions have been undergoing massive product overhauls, some that totally redefine the automakers position in the marketplace. Whats the best way to get the word out?
Youve probably already seen the TV ads touting the all-new Chrysler 300 sedan as a class leader, hardly an oversell if the majority of road test reports written on the subject can be trusted, but as important as it is to get the word out to a "cold" market such an achievement will be best received by Chrysler Groups "warm" market, its current customer base.
To that effect the automaker invited approximately 4 million current clients and new prospective customers alike to what it said to be "Hollywood-type" vehicle premier events at 2,100 participating dealerships across the nation on Thursday, April 22. The "Premier Night" events are ideal for getting prospective customers up close and personal with the new models, which include the aforementioned 300, as well as the new PT Cruiser Convertible, Crossfire Roadster and new Chrysler Town & Country/Grand Voyager and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans with their sensational new "Sto & Go" tumble under second and third row seats.
"Were going to cover our dealerships up with people, not only (tonight) but through the weekend," Chryslers senior vice president of sales, Gary Dilts said prior to the event.
But the rear-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive 300, with its premium standard build quality and upscale features, plus its low $23,595 base price and optional 340-hp HEMI V8 with 390 lb-ft of torque, is the brands biggest story.
Those dealerships that took part in the event were in full party mood, with the appropriate decorations, finger food and the featured products under lights.
Some other Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep models on site included the popular Sebring sedan and convertible, functional PT Cruiser sedan and stunning new Crossfire Coupe. The completely redesigned Dodge Durango sport utility was also available to view, as was the Jeep brands full line of SUVs.
If you missed the Premier Night event, dont worry as the Dodge event will be held June 17, while a similar showcase of new Jeeps will take place this fall.
