DiMora Motorcar may not be widely known, but it’s a brand that is garnering a lot of attention for its up and coming super sedan, which just might be the world’s most opulent car. Founded by wealthy businessman Alfred DiMora, most recently known for his computing technologies company named Bridge Systems but who was previously head of Clenet Coachworks and Sceptre Motorcar Company, if the Natalia SLS2 luxury sedan lives up to its hype it will be the car to out-power, out-swathe and out-gizmo Maybachs, Bentleys and Rolls-Royces.

Powering the Natalia SLS2 will be a brand new engine which the company calls “Volcano”. The aluminum-block engine has as many cylinders as a Bugatti Veyron (16), but it’s much bigger at 14.0 liters and configured in a V-formation. It’s also more powerful, producing 1,200 horsepower and 900 lb-ft of torque, figures that are SAE certified. And while decadence at this level is rarely concerned with fuel economy, the Volcano engine features variable cylinder technology, which shuts down active cylinders to reduce consumption. The Natalia SLS2 will feature all wheel drive to harness the power of its giant engine, and will also feature four wheel steering to help maneuver the large sedan.

The Natalia’s interior is furnished with the finest materials that can be had; fine leather upholstery, Italian walnut trim, English wool carpeting and even crystal ashtrays. Those in the back have the luxury of rear-seat entertainment and a retractable bar, plus a rear-seat massage system. DiMora has even thought of its customers who may be handicapped, as the front seat swivels 90-degrees for easier mobility. As a tie-in to DiMora’s computer development business, each Natalia SLS2 is controlled by 50 different computers, and each car will feature a portable handheld computer that can be linked up to the car’s LCD television screens. A series of externally-mounted cameras will undoubtedly make parking and maneuvering the vehicle easier.

But the real icing on the cake has to be some of the unusual features of the SLS2, items that have never been featured on any other car before. For instance, the SLS2 features paint that has the ability to change from dark blue / black to white depending on the temperature outside. It will also be the first car to feature the HeatFlexx windscreen wiper system, which recently debuted at SEMA, as well as headlamps that are able to project images, movies and even advertisements when the car isn’t moving.

The SLS2 might sound like it’s too good to be true, but with a price tag of two million dollars, such a vehicle might actually be possible. In fact, at its asking price the SLS2 is the most expensive vehicle on sale, and in some ways could very well be the next Duesenberg, especially considering its American heritage. One particular Las Vegas-based resort has already invested in 10 Natalia SLS2s. The first prototypes of the SLS2 will be shown next year.
