Dodge began in 1900 as the Dodge Brothers Company, a parts supplier to the burgeoning auto industry in Detroit, Michigan. The company began manufacturing its own cars in 1914 and eventually became part of Chrysler in 1928. Today, Dodge markets and manufactures cars, minivans, SUVs, and pick-up trucks in more than 60 countries around the world. Although Dodge has not done particularly well in recent years, the Dodge Ram truck has consistently ranked as one of the best-selling vehicles in America.
