Nissan to Recall 2005 & 2006 Infiniti G35 Vehicles Due to Faulty Air Bags
Nissan announced Tuesday it will recall roughly 135,000 of its 2005 and 2006 model year Infiniti G35 sedans and coupes, due to a faulty passenger air bag.
The wire harness underneath the front passenger seat has been found to deteriorate, which causes a delay – or complete loss – in the signal to the air bag. In the event of a crash, the air bag may not deploy. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported to date.
A company spokesman says Nissan will begin notifying owners in June with recall information and repair instructions.
Nissan recommends owners take their car to a local dealer if the red air bag warning light has turned on in their vehicle. For more information, call 1-800-662-6200.
