Tomb Raider Fans Can Now Purchase Lara Crofts Wheels

The Tomb Raider Wrangler is the Most Capable Jeep 4×4 Yet

Have you ever dreamed of owning a vehicle you saw in a movie, such as the cars from “Gone in 60 Seconds” or “The Fast and the Furious?” Unfortunately most people cant afford these types of classic and exotic machines.

Not so for Tomb Raider fans. While Land Rovers custom built limited edition Tomb Raider version of their Defender 4×4 that coincided with the first Tomb Raider movie was a bit on the pricey side, the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Tomb Raider will be much more accessible for the market that will flock to see the movie when it debuts this summer.

In July the Tomb Raider Wrangler will hit dealerships in conjunction with the release of the latest sequel: “Tomb Raider: Lara Croft and the Cradle of Life.” In the movie, the specially outfitted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is driven by actress Angelina Jolie, who plays the virtual game heroine Lara Croft.

The new Wrangler Rubicon Tomb Raider edition is loaded with multiple exterior off-roading features including: 16-inch Alcoa forged aluminum wheels, a light bar, riveted fender flares, distinct badging, rock rails, a tubular grille guard, fog lamp and taillamp guards, a diamond plate bumper guard, fog lamps with brush guards, riveted fender flares in graphite, black rock rails, aluminum diamond plate bumper guard in black, a black tubular grille guard, and taillamp guards.

Inside, a silver surround instrument panel bezel, dark slate fabric seats with red accent stitching, red seatbelts, and a badge with serial numbers come as part of the package.

The limited edition Jeep was created for the movie to demonstrate its outstanding capabilities in extreme conditions. Jeff Bell, Vice President, Jeep Chrysler Group said, “The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is the most capable Jeep ever built, so the heroic extreme environment in which Lara Croft uses her custom Wrangler Rubicon in Tomb Raider is accurate. This is more than just a product placement. We have created a 360-degree integrated marketing campaign around the movie and the debut of the Wrangler Rubicon Tomb Raider model.”

Bell continued, “In the movie, this vehicle will be showcased in many rugged and extreme situations, highlighting key strengths of the brand in a new and exciting way. Youll see the Jeep crossing harsh desert and jungle terrain without any difficulty–true Jeep capability.”

Just over 1,000 limited edition Wranglers will be painted bright silver, just like in the movie. Its base price will be $28,815, which includes destination.
