Tuner Special: Mansory Bentley and Rolls-Royce

Britain makes some of the world's most exclusive automobiles. If you're into

sports cars, the brand to go to is either the thoroughbred sports car maker Lotus or ultra-premium Aston Martin, the choice of secret agent James Bond. But if you're into luxury, Britain is also the place to go, with brands like Bentley and Rolls Royce. But if you want something to combine the two together, there is a company that can help out, Germany's Mansory, which has just added its own special touch to the Continental GTC convertible and the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The first of the two vehicles that Mansory has just debuted is the Le MANSory GTC, which is based of off this year's hottest premium convertible, the Continental GTC. Enhancements to the engine via alterations to the ECU have unleashed some of the twin-turbo W12's potential. Output is up to 641 horsepower from 553, and as a result, its performance capabilities have been improved greatly. 0-60 mph blows by in just 4.3 seconds, and it'll top out at 205 mph with the top down.

The vehicle's graceful looks have been pumped up with a muscular widebody kit, while unique daytime running LED lamps give the nose a more purposeful touch. Inside, the converted car receives a reworked interior with a brick red and white color scheme. Special 22-inch alloy wheels with extra large brakes have been fitted to counter the extra powerful engine. Mansory will only produce 24 of these remarkable convertibles – one after each hour of the legendary race – to ensure the car's exclusivity.

The second vehicle is the Conquistador, an upgraded version of the Phantom sedan. The Rolls-Royce has been transformed from one of the world's most sumptuous limousines, fit for transporting heads of state and the world's most wealthy into something we've never seen before. Mansory has upped the output of the engine by bumping up its displacement to 7.5 litres, and has increased the power the engine puts out by a rather significant amount. Instead of the usual 460 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque it now makes 543 horsepower

and 597 lb-ft of torque.

But people probably won't get to asking about what's under the hood because of one simple thing – the way that it looks. Straight from the factory, the Phantom is an imposing looking vehicle; tall, wide and very long, it garners attention like few other vehicles on the planet. The Conquistador? It's an electromagnet for eyes! Besides enhancing the car with hand-crafted vents on the front fenders and a tiny little rear spoiler, they've done work to the grille to make it even bigger and more dominating. Its 22-inch wheels give the world a very good look at its upgraded Brembo brakes. The inside of the converted Rolls is eye-popping too. What was once chrome is now made from solid silver, and what was wood is now carbon fiber. For further contrast, the leather is now two toned crème and black.

Like it or loathe it, it must be said that there's a business in bespoke exclusivity.
